September Moon

I couldn't resist the opportunity last night to practice night photography. After all, I had a wonderful subject to shoot...the full moon!

Here are a couple of my results. I really like the color variations of the moon's surface. I wish they had been a bit more crisper, but these are probably some of the better shots I've taken.

I saw the big beautiful moon tonight and wished that I had a tripod. I also wish my night photos looked as nice as yours.
Great moon pictures Sally!

Excellent shot, Sally. Did you change the color? How come mine is colored? It seems anytime I take a moon shot it has color. Hmmmmm. Do you use a tripod? I don't have one.

I see his face do you? MB

These are great shots Sally. I never seem to have my tripod handy when I see the moon. By hand I just shake too much. Besides last night the sky was clouded over. Tonight the moon barely peaked thru the clouds and my pics are awful.

Lovely photos of the Moon. Too bad you couldn't get Jupiter in with it; they were close last night.

One of these days I'm going to get a decent digital camera, AND a tripod for my shaky hands. It's down there on the list... way down. LOL

Ms Sally, I can't really take good moon shots. It seems that the moon is too far from us. Also, too much light in the city. These are great photos!

Beautiful shots of the moon! It really is at its prettiest this time of year. This is when I wish I had more than my little point 'n shoot!

Those shots are great! Some of my attempts at moon shots are better than the one I posted yesterday but it is a challenge. But like you said, it's fun to keep trying.
