Its been cruddy weather all weekend so I am diving into my archives. This photo was taken as we drove home one weekend from the CDR last November before the North Cascades Highway closed for the season. The barn is in Mazama, Washington, and is in the Monitor style. I've always thought if, or should I say WHEN, we put up a barn on the CDR, I want a Monitor barn. In the background is the fabulous snow-covered Goat Wall.

That is a wonderful scene...even if it has snow in it....
What a picturesque scene. Great shot.
Mazama is a favorite spot for our weekend getaways, especially near the goat wall. Beautiful shot of the snow dusted rocks and trees behind that awesome barn and awesomer house.
What a beautiful looking place! Very nice...
What a beautiful setting. That kind of barn would be perfect for the CDR. You can park the RV in it.
Wow a stunning barn. And I think at the back is a house. So gorgeous!

A great barn indeed! And a beautiful winter scene with the mountain in the background.
Nice shot. I would like a barn like that on my place. MB
A wonderful barn in an amazing setting.

Oh Oh Oh I love love love it!!! =) Such a niiice barn & I'd never heard of the styles of barns before - I'll have to look into that! And that mountain of a wall for a background really sets off this shot! Awesome find, Sally - This is really FANTABULOUS!!! =)
Thanks so much for joining in, very much appreciated!
Neat barn and I like the house that goes with it too!
Monitor barn? I've never heard that term before.
Lovely design!
It looks like they loved the barn design so well they built the rest of the buildings to mirror it.
I didn't know the name of that style, but love it -- it would look beautiful on the Chicken Dance.
I miss the Pacific Northwest (maybe not this time of year, but I hope that when we go back this summer we'll have time to do some touring out of our own little corner of it!)
I just saw this place the other day as we went that direction to go snowshoeing. It is a lovely home and barn isn't it?
