Oh, the lessons keep coming at the Chicken Dance Ranch. This past weekend's lesson was we need tire chains (or a tractor with a snow blower-hehe). We got both trucks stuck trying to get up the driveway Friday night. We got our truck dug out and on Saturday, freed Jim's Ford from the axle deep snow. Then he chained up and was able to make a path up to the house. Good thing, too. We brought over a loveseat and for a while there I thought we'd be taking it back home with us. No way were we going to lift and carry it up there through the snow!
Now we have real seating in the house other than camp-style or folding card table chairs. Comfy. :)

That would not have been fun ...
Nice shot of your problem with the snow depth. Glad it worked out okay. Nice shot.
Glad you got unstuck without too much trouble. I used chains regularly during the Okanogan winters.
I looks beautiful, but it must be so much work in this weather! I fully admit to being fair weather person. If I want to see snow, I can look due north and see it on the mountains. I can get to it in a couple of hours, but I'm happy that it never snows right here... stay warm!
Ah, the joys of winter in the country. :) BUT it sure is pretty! And hey! Now you have a comfy love seat!
The refreshing vigor of being engaged with the outdoors.
We've been snowbound for the last 3 days by the massive ice storm. I finally got the 1 inch of ice off the car, but it kept spinning on the long icy driveway. Think I'll have some nice, hot coffee.
