Standing on one of the granite rock outcroppings near the Okanogan house, I could see a swatch of yellow off in the distance. It really stood out among the grayish color of the surrounding area.
My neighbor, Amanda, later told me it was canola. A company is growing it for biodiesel. This shot was taken down at the abandoned homestead which was closer to the field of canola.
