Correction for Skywatch!

My picture for Skywatch #40 is not of Three Fingers - it's Whitehorse Mountain. What was I thinking other than obviously I wasn't.

See what camera withdrawals do to you? It scrambles your brain cells!

Skywatch Friday #40 - Three Fingers

What's a person to do after two days without a camera? Karl's been fishing so the Nikon has been with him, the Canon point & shoot is MIA (I think it's buried in Karl's fishing gear), and the Sony was a loaner and has been returned.

I was having withdrawals! To get my fix today, Karl and I took the dogs down to the lake for their daily walk. The sun was really lighting up Three Fingers mountain. Plus it was fairly clear out, even with the clouds heading east towards the mountains.

I'm definitely leaning towards having my own Nikon, either another D80 or a new D90, so that I don't have to worry about not having a camera on hand. Withdrawals aren't pretty!

Super Saturday

Oh what a glorious day it has been so far! The sun has been shining and the temps are close to 60 degrees F.

On my way home from running errands, the mountains were standing tall in the sunshine. After all of the overcast or rainy days we've had of late, I haven't seen the mountains much. Of course I had to pull over and take a picture.

The mountain to the far left is Whitehorse and to the far right is Three Fingers. I just love seeing them with fresh snow since there has been a fair amount of it in the past week at higher elevations. They keep some snow year round as both have glaciers.

Once home, I took advantage of the nice weather to give the car a bath. The winter grime and dirt is gone! However, not too long after washing and drying it, there was a fine layer of yellow pollen on the car. Oh well, at least it LOOKS clean from a distance. :-)

I even vacuumed it out, including the trunk, and washed the windows inside. We are ready for our Monday morning commute. Won't our carpooler be surprised?

Hope you are enjoying your day!
