End of the Season

Most of the blooms are off of the tulips now, except for a couple of fields at Roozengaarde in the Skagit Valley. The Roozen family business of growing tulips, daffodils and irises is the largest in the world, covering the valley with more than 1,000 acres of field blooms and 16 acres of greenhouses. Maybe next year I will have time to venture up there when more of the fields are in bloom.

The tulips have had a tough time this year! I remember the first tulip festival I went to here in Washington was in mid March!! They've had to cancel quite a few of the tulip tours this year, I've been told although you can't tell it from your gorgeous shot!! That red does brighten up the foggy gray, doesn't it? Have a great day, Sally!

Love this !!! Everytime I drive by there, I'm either too early or missed it. (Not that I get up that way often but you know what I mean)

What an almost surreal scene.

Oh -- the season is over and I missed it all ;:<<! Actually I missed these beautiful fields even when I lived nearer. Always wanted to get up there during the season but never did.

Lovely lovely picture.
