SkyWatch Friday - Strange Clouds

Since our views were pretty much non-existent this past weekend due to fog, I'm digging back through my archives. Here is one from July of this year where I spotted some strange cloud formations.

Go check out what other SkyWatchers are sharing this week by clicking on the banner above. Thanks to the SkyWatch team for bringing us this fun meme each week!

Those are strange ones, aren't they, Sally? We had some like them, too, but unfortunately my camera was charging at the time. Glad you caught them! Terrific shot! Hope you have a great weekend!

Definitely unusual. That could almost be virga, lit up just right by the sun.

What interesting clouds. They look almost like snow reflected on a frozen lake.

Sally, we too had clouds like that this summer, with a little color, and what we believe to have been a bit of precipitation in the distance. Great photo!
