Skywatch Friday #42 - Lone Eagle

Taken this past weekend in Anacortes, WA on Fidalgo Bay. The tree was occupied several times throughout the weekend by one or two eagles.

The sky was overcast most of the day, but late afternoon saw the clouds disappear.

"This is my best side, don't you think?"

Sally: Beautiful capture of our national bird. I still hope to capture one this year.

Oh, what a wonderful capture. I'm jealous. I see eagels nesting along our waterways but have not been able to get a good shot.

You are our Skywatch Friday neighbor. We always greet our virtual neighbors. Hope you will do the same. We can honestly say, we've never captured an eagle on our camera! Congratulations.

The eagle chose a nice branch to show off too. It must be great to see it from any side.

It's obviously posing to you. Threebranch looks like it was made to a restingplace for birds. Nothing growing on the upperside. Great capture for SWF! You have a great weekend!! :)

How nice of the sky to clear up to make the eagle stand out!

Great sky watch! It is amazing how the eagles find the highest perch around.

How cool. I wonder where you took that one. I've seen eagles hanging around in the trees there too...right by the shore. Glad the skies cleared up for this shot! Thanks for visiting mine!
