Skywatch Friday - Nehalem Bay Sunrise

Wow! What a surprise to find out I am today's guest host on Skywatch Friday. Wouldn't you know, it came when I've neglected my blog for an entire week! I think all of the snow last week and over the weekend threw me into a funk where I just wanted to nestle in my warm house and not take many pictures. I did do some bird watching, making sure my little feathered friends had lots of food in the feeder.

So now it's time to get back in the swing of things. And please accept my apologies for not visiting your blog last week.

The awesome Skywatch Team led by Klaus along with Sylvia, Wren, Sandy and Fishing Guy bring us the Skywatch meme each week. Click on the banner below to go see other skies from around the world.

Today's shot is from our trip to Oregon in late December/early January. On our final day, we awoke to a beautiful sunrise. Cold, but spectacular. Ahhh, the memories. :)

Love this post and the one below. I was at Cap Sante in September but it was not so beautifully sunny. Congrats on being guest host for Skywatch! And that header snow photo is great, too.

Congratulations on hosting! And that's a great picture there and so is this one. (Thanks for the memories.)

Don't ever apologize for not visiting when you're busy -- after all, blogging isn't supposed to be a second job ;>)...as you know I sometimes go days or weeks when I can't keep up with my favs! (and I don't have any other job.)

I love that you "stepped out of the camper" to this glorious sunrise, gloriously captured. What was the temperatures in Manznita on a January morning?

Nisha said...

Yes, I saw it on the Skywatch main page.
Congrats for such an amazing photo.

Hello Sally! What a beautiful photo of a very familiar area. When I was a kid we camped every Labor Day Weekend in the horse camp at Nehalem Bay State Park. I spent a lot of time there. Thanks for the beautiful shot and wonderful memories!
