inSPIREd Sunday - Little White Church on the Hill

The Little White Church on the Hill is located in Silvana, Washington. It is on the Washington State Register of Historic Places. The church was completed in 1890.

There sure are a Lot of churches out there. Seems these old buildings hold up better than the new.

This steeple is unique in it simplicity and quaintness. Last week I went up and down Main Street here in Lexington taking pictures of our steeples. Hope to post them soon. Being that both Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson worshiped in churches here, they are pretty nice....and famous. The tonal quality of this shot is lovely.

That is a gorgeous spire...there are so many beautiful churches. I need to start making a focused effort to photograph them....and I do when I get a good chance. But I don't make trips specially for it.

Just from the name, it sounds like a classic location. You don't often see completely open belfries like this one any more.
