Skywatch Friday #49 - North Cascades

I took another trip along the North Cascades Highway. The day started off overcast and gray, but as I got high up into the mountains, the sky turned to a bright blue. Then the clouds and rain came back.

What a marvelous place for a drive, and a nice variety of skies along the way. Haven't been there is way too long. Thanks for the memories.

I have a friend Rangering in N Cascades at Marblemount.

I didn´t want the sky to clear as it was so spooky fun in the beginning!

The Dam shot is great. The scenery and the mist/clouds works so well together. Wonderful shot indeed. Happy SWF!

That is such a beautiful drive through that area. We haven't been in awhile, maybe it's time for a road trip.

Beautiful views! I especially like the second shot with the rising mist and blue sky. What a contrast to the last shot with the coming rain clouds.

Thanks for visiting my sunset shot from Anacortes. Yes, I'm up in Anacortes a lot, especially during the summer months except for this summer - I have to leave Sunday to go back to San Ramon for the rest of the month and most of July. Next time I'm up for a longer period of time, I'll let you know and perhaps we could hook up and go photo hunting together!
