Skywatch Friday #50 - Blustery Day

This was yesterday on my way home from work. All of the pictures were taken within an hour start to finish - before going into the grocery store and then the drive home, and within 6 miles (10k) of each other. What the pictures don't reflect is the stiff wind that was blowing, especially in the first photo.

Threatening skies for sure - facing east

Facing north

Here comes the rain

The back edge of the front - is that blue sky?

Really terrific shots! Unfortunately, the skies have been the wrong colors the past few days -- haven't they?

Have a great weekend!

One thing about the gray skies in Washington is that they seem to pass by very quickly...so hopefully the blue skies did reveal themselves!

Lovely grey skies. The rain on the windshield was especially nice.

This weather goes from one end of the country to the other. After Saturday, we are supposed to have a week of rain. Nice shots! Thanks for visiting my Journal.

Sally: Very nice progressive sky shots, the clouds show a windy day.

Nifty series ... wish we'd get some of that wet stuph here in So Cal.

Neat shots. I do love the clouds though. They have been spectacular. That same day the sunset was so lovely but just at the horizon. I always rush down the hill and to Starbird Rd overlooking the Freeway and shoot a magnificent sunset. But from my house all you see in the sky is a faint color trace so you wouldn't know the was a sunset. This has been everyday for the past few weeks. MB
