Skywatch Friday #54 - Chemtrail or Rainbow?
I saw this faint "rainbow" in the sky this past Saturday. In researching this, I'm not sure if it's a rainbow or a chemtrail.
Whatever it was, it was pretty seeing it in the sky.
Sorry for the bug splotches but I was shooting through the windshield while Karl was driving.

I don't know either, but I agree whatever it is it's pretty.
Pretty sky, whatever it is. Glad to know I'm not the only one with bug splotches on my windshield. (But I didn't notice them until you mentioned it.)
I love spotting these in the sky. They're extraordinary with their mixture of color. You captured this well. Have a great night.
Great blue with a touch of colour.

Have a great weekend, Sally!

Simply beautiful!
Couldn't it be a contrail and a rainbow. Sure looks cool.
no idea, but I sure like to see one myself. :)
Hi Sally, it's called a sundog. And they are neat to see. ?Sometimes they are bigger and sometimes not. As rainbows are created by sunshining through water drops sundogs are created by sun picking up ice crystals in the clouds. Neat!! MB
wow Sally, magnificent picture!
Great work!

Nice Photo ... window or not ... Love It !!!
Sweet shot. That is a very unusual rainbow.
I like what you see. Sometimes I see these rainbows and think I'm imagining things. Thanks for corroborating this beauty.
You got a little of both there! Can't see any bugs though; nice clear shot considering you took it through the windshield! You've had nice weather for a while now!
Very pretty! Nice site. Will be back to see more.
