Basalt CliffsI found sixteen golf balls which I took back to the Okanogan house for whacking around our property. Then you go hunting for them in the tall grasses. It reminds me of an Easter egg hunt.
I watched the sun set across Banks Lake. The smoke from the Oden Road fire near Okanogan had drifted that way and added to the brilliant colors in the sky.

How nice to enjoy the beach by yourself. Nice to get the colorful sunset before the mosquitos dropped by. Beautiful captures.
Mosquitos have a way of dampening the spirits of the day, don't they? Your pictures are gorgeous. That first one reminds me of a strip mined hilltop from back home (Paintsville and Prestonsburg, KY). The sunset is something I wouldn't have wanted to miss. Glad you were able to have such a nice day.

Oh, the mosquitoes. They've been awful this year all over the state. Nice trip till the y came out, though.
My husband used to race the little hydros on Banks lake...I had to call him in the office to look at your pictures!
