The Train, It Is a Comin'...
Hooray! We are getting our own Amtrak stop in Stanwood. Originally scheduled to open in June 2009, it is now due to open in September. Amtrak Cascades rail service will then be available with 4 scheduled stops each day. I just love to ride the train and can't wait for our new station to open.
There isn't much to look at right now so I'll share pics of the finished platform at a later date.

That's great! I wish we had a closer train station.
Gaelyn asked where would I go on the train. The answer is ANYWHERE! The trip to Vancouver is awesome as the train skirts the edge of Puget Sound before it reaches Bellingham. It is a very scenic journey just in the short distance from Everett to Vancouver.
You'll have to take a ride with you camera battery charged and take pictures of the countryside as you go. Look forward to seeing more pics when the platform is finished. Have a great day.
